Pre-show testing found the game mostly running OK, however blue drive seemed very high and red/green very low. The chassis was removed for investigation.

On the bench the chassis colour balance looked close to spot on. Measuring the CRT drive on the neck connector didn't reveal any significant difference in the colour balance and I suspected the Vanguard CRT itself was either poor or unbalanced. The chassis was reinstalled into the cabinet and run for several hours to reach operating temperature. The blue colour input adjustment pot was then used to reduce the blue input signal that allowed a higher overall brightness adjustment to increase red & green to balance.
